As promised - a post about the festival and what I wore!

I absolutely love festivals abroad! Maybe its the sunshine and not having to worry about getting absolutely drowned in a downpour or freezing your tits off at night (which is definitely something rare to find with British festivals ha!) If you have never been to a foreign festival I would highly recommend you to book one for next summer! It's like a festival and a holiday rolled into one - what more could you want!?

Mad cool was my 3rd festival of this year and it did not disappoint! The line up this year was soooo good - and I was absolutely buzzing that I got to tick two artists off my list of people I wanted to see the most - Arctic monkeys and Tame Impala - and both played unreal sets. As well as these there were artists such as depeche mode, dua lipa, kasabian, justice, and so many more, including a lot of good DJs! There was definitely a good mix of genres!

I booked my flight, ticket and accommodation very far in advance - last November! And I got everything for an amazing price, but I know that the price of everything went up the closer it got to the festival so I would always advise booking early! Also a little advice if you are planning on going next year, if you stay in the centre be prepared to travel a little bit to get to and from the festival as it isn't central (it probably took about an hour to get home each night on public transport to where I was staying) but it was definitely worth it!

The festival itself was very aesthetically pleasing - with astro turf everywhere and cool designs all over the place! It was a bit 'Coachella' to look at I have to say. However I did feel like the festival was slightly oversold, as everywhere was very busy, especially the initial queue to get wristbands and also bar queues - which were a bit longer than you would like!

All in all I would definitely recommend Mad Cool and it will be a festival I consider again if next years line up is as good as this years - so keep your eye out for the line-up next year!

Shorts - Asos

(Yes that is a pint of Sangria in my hand lol) For the first night, it was over 30 degrees and I was sooo hot getting ready, so my main priority was something comfortable! I chose these lemon print culotte shorts from Asos, they were SO comfy and also ticked off two summer trends with the cute fruit themed pattern and polka dots! There are a lot of different designs of this style short on Asos and I want them all - plus they were so cheap at only £12 (they're actually now on sale at £9) I teamed the shorts with a black shirred detail top from Miss Selfridge. Although it was a simple outfit, I felt really cute in it and the shorts were perfect for keeping me cool whilst I danced in the heat! The sunglasses I'm wearing are Primark - can you believe it!? They're my fave pair of sunglasses at the minute as they literally sass up every outfit - and they were only £2! Can you tell I love a bargain?

For the second night I went for something a bit funkier and this AMAZING rainbow skirt which I am in love with! Anything rainbow and I just have to have it - especially for festivals! This skirt is from a brand name Rokoko which are stocked on Asos - they have the coolest festival clothes and to be honest their prices are quite reasonable. I really wanted a yellow top to go with this outfit so I was a lil bit disappointed when I couldn't find one anywhere (if anyone has seen any please help a girl out and link me!) however I do think this red crop from PLT goes really well! P.s if you are planning on buying this skirt and you are on the taller side beware that this skirt is VERY short - I definitely should have sized up but I just had to wear it anyway - how could I not when I love it so much!?

(I haven't included my night 3 outfit as I just didn't get any pictures good enough for the blog oops I apologise)

I hope you enjoyed this post and feel free to ask any questions about the festival if you're looking to go next year - let me know what you think of the festi outfits!

Chlo x
