aka the best time of year - anyone else agree!?

This year I'm lucky enough to have had 4 festivals to go to. I've already been to two (Neighbourhood and Parklife) and I've got another two to come! So in this post I thought id talk you through my first outfit of this festival season - which is this AMAZING leopard print sheer maxi dress. I felt pretty fucking cool wearing this dress and I got a LOT of compliments on it throughout the day.

The first festival I attended this summer was Neighbourhood weekender, which was in Warrington. It was the first time this festival had ran and I have to say I had such a mint weekend! The festival ran over 2 days and it wasn't camping, luckily it ran over the bank holiday weekend meaning I didn't have to take any days off work which is always a bonus! The festival was relatively small in size but it was so well organised. It had a line up full of pretty big names including Noel Gallagher, The Courteeners, Blossoms, DMAs and a few more that I was a bit too tipsy to remember seeing. I would definitely go again next year and would 100% recommend it if you like that sort of music - it was so worth the money, and if you live in Manchester like me it's literally on your doorstep, so how can you say no!?

One thing I love about festivals is how fun and free they allow you to be with your fashion! Planning outfits for festivals is so much fun to me, it's part of the experience - I love being as colourful, and as glittery and as funky as I can be. I love getting ready with your gals and glittering each other up in the mornings whilst your hungover in your tents (even if it is sometimes a struggle depending on how hungover you are)

I bought my ticket for Neighbourbood quite last minute so I didn't have a lot of time to organise an outfit. But when I saw this dress on Asos I knew I had to buy it. Luckily I didn't need to worry about accessorizing because this dress does ALL the talking. I simply teamed it with my docs and put in a pair of silver earrings and I was good to go. (and a pair of high waist bikini bottoms underneath because this dress shows A LOT of leg)

The print of this dress is to die for and I fell in love with it straight away, it gave me a proper 80s vibe which I thought was cool AF and really on trend. The double thigh split really added a sexy vibe to the dress and when put together with my chunky docs it was the perfect festival outfit - however beware of the wind because when this dress blows you are very on show ha! The dress is by a brand names Ebonie n ivory - which are stocked on Asos. If you like being a little bit out there with your festival fashion this brand is definitely for you, if I could afford it I would own a lot more of their stuff - it's so funky and perfect for festival season!

I'm off to another festival in Madrid on Thursday so I will be sure to update you with some more festival outfits when I'm back - till then check out my Instagram for holiday pics.
